Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how important it is to surround ourselves with people who empower and support us. One of the things I’m most grateful for in my own life is my network of amazing female friends and colleagues.

My girlfriends hold my hand when I need support, give me their shoulder to cry on when I’m sad, and celebrate my milestones and victories–both business and personal–almost like they’re their own. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’d be lost without them.

Just last week I was feeling lost about some of the decisions I needed to make about the next stages in Financially Wise Women’s growth. That’s when I did what I usually do in these situations and called a girlfriend.  This time it was my friend Jessica, who happens to be an amazing creative director.  I told her the challenges I was facing and how I needed help mapping out the next steps for FWW. She carved out time to meet me for a business planning strategy session, and within minutes we had everything mapped out on the back of Kreation Café’s paper placemats. No joke–there was even an Instagram story about it!

Case in point: we need each other in life.  You can do it alone, but it’s SO much harder and never as much fun. And naturally, we women are great at helping one another.

It’s just what we do: we lift each other up.

Here’s to all the #FinanciallyWiseWomen in our lives. Sending you tons of money love.
